PADI UNDERWATER VIDEOGRAPHER SPECIALTY

 

 

 

COURSE PREREQUISITES

PADI Open Water Diver certification, Junior Open Water Diver certification or equivalent.

Minimum of 12 years old.  Students may be required to provide Dive Log Book detailing dive experience.

 

SKILLS

The PADI Underwater Videographer Specialty course introduces you to underwater video equipment and videography fundamentals, such as exposure, focus, shot types, moves, story line and shot sequencing.

 

COURSE LAYOUT

Upon completing this program, the student should be able to:

Certification counts toward the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.

Number of Dives: 3

You complete Knowledge Development on your own, reading the course manual and watching the corresponding section of the video.  You briefly review what you studied with your instructor and take a final written exam that make sure you’ve got all the key concepts and ideas down.

Course Manual.
PADI Underwater Videographer Specialty Certification card.

10% student discount on purchase of any new equipment during the course and for 30 days after the course.

 

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

Complete SCUBA Including:  Fins/Mask/Snorkel; Compressed Gas Cylinder and Valve; Buoyancy Control Device (BCD) with Low Pressure Inflator; Regulator and Alternate Air Source; Submersible Pressure Gauge (Monitoring Device); Depth Gauge (Monitoring Device); Weight System and Weights; Adequate Exposure Protection for Diving Conditions; At least 1 Audible Emergency Surface Signalling Device.

Student must have own Video equipment.
