COURSE PREREQUISITES
|
PADI Open
Water Diver certification or Junior Open Water Diver certification or equivalent.
Minimum of
12 years old.
Students may be required to
provide Dive Log Book detailing dive experience.
SKILLS
|
In the Underwater Naturalist
Diver Specialty course, you learn about the aquatic world around you. Students
learn about local aquatic ecosystems, tropical reefs and Canadian coastal
waters. Have fun learning to identify fish as well as many other fascinating
marine animals and plants.
COURSE LAYOUT
|
Number of Dives: Two
You complete Knowledge
Development on your own, reading the course manual and watching the
corresponding section of the video. You
briefly review what you studied with your instructor and take a final written
exam that make sure you’ve got all the key concepts and ideas down.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
|
Complete SCUBA Including: Fins/Mask/Snorkel; Compressed Gas Cylinder
and Valve; Buoyancy Control Device (BCD) with Low Pressure Inflator; Regulator
and Alternate Air Source; Submersible Pressure Gauge (Monitoring Device); Depth
Gauge (Monitoring Device); Weight System and Weights; Adequate Exposure
Protection for Diving Conditions; At least 1 Audible Emergency Surface
Signalling Device.
