COURSE PREREQUISITES
|
|
|
PADI Open
Water Diver certification, Junior Open Water certification or equivalent.
Minimum of 12 years old.
Students may be required to
provide Dive Log Book detailing dive experience.
SKILLS
|
In the Drift Diver Specialty
Course divers will learn to enjoy rivers and ocean currents by “going with the
flow,” staying with their dive partner, communicating with the dive boat and
knowing where they are the whole time.
COURSE LAYOUT
|
Number of Dives: 2
You complete Knowledge
Development on your own, reading the course manual and watching the
corresponding section of the video. You
briefly review what you studied with your instructor and take a final written
exam that make sure you’ve got all the key concepts and ideas down.

Course
Manual and/or DVD.
PADI Drift Diver Specialty Certification card.
10%
student discount on purchase of any new equipment during the course and for 30
days after the course.
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
|
Complete SCUBA
Including: Fins/Mask/Snorkel; Compressed
Gas Cylinder and Valve; Buoyancy Control Device (BCD) with Low Pressure
Inflator; Regulator and Alternate Air Source; Submersible Pressure Gauge
(Monitoring Device); Depth Gauge (Monitoring Device); Weight System and
Weights; Adequate Exposure Protection for Diving Conditions; At least 1 Audible
Emergency Surface Signalling Device.
